The nose: Black forest gateau cherry cake, maple syrup, black currant, bitter dark chocolate, mint, eucalyptus. The black currant, cola, macchiato, chocolate cake and ginger bread-like palate leads to a dry, tangy, spicy but vibrant finish.

An indie bottling of Glen Elgin single malt, distilled in 2008 and left in a first fill Spanish Oloroso hogshead for the following 15 years. At long last, indie bottler Adelphi bottled the Speysider in 2023, with a release of 265 bottles at cask strength, 55.8% ABV.
