Bemberg Pionero 2013, Gualtallary, Mendoza, Argentina

Bemberg Estate Wines

Dry red wine, 75cl. Full bodied Malbec Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc blend from Gualtallary, Mendoza, Argentina. 14.5% ABV.

Savoury elegance with lots of tension and class. Bright ripe cherry, blackberry and damson with notes of dried herbs, pepper, liquorice, inky graphite, cedar and tobacco leaf. Hints of crushed stone and gunflint adds restraint to the seductively pretty violets fragrance. A multi-layered elegantly structured wine with lively acidity, fine grippy tannins and velvety power underlined by inky mineral graphite. Seamless integration of tight grained, flinty, toasty oak.

Tasting notes from Decanter Magazine's South American Premium Red Blends Panel Tasting, June, 2019

"A classy Bordeaux-blend with aromas of baked dark fruit, blackberry, cassis, dark plum, earth and cedar. This all combines beautifully on the palate with a persistent and dominant length. Built to last!" 92/100 Points

Producer Profile Bemberg Estate

Bemberg Estate is a brand-new project, created by the Bemberg family, with the intention of producing the finest wines in Argentina. Daniel Pi, the winemaker, has crafted a wine collection that represents an imaginary journey from north to south traversing different regions and using the finest sites. Single vineyards, harvesting by hand, spontaneous fermentation, French oak barrels and very limited production. These really are spectacular wines showing the variety of terroir and conditions available in Argentina.
