The 2021 release from Ardnamurchan is a 50/50 mix of peated and unpeated spirit with a split of 65% Bourbon and 35% Sherry cask matured whisky that on the nose offers a complex mix of nutmeg, toffee apple, crème brûlée, oranges, cardamon, honey, nougat, saltwater and driftwood. The elaborated palate has grapefruit, orange peel, ripe pear and peach with marmalade surrounded by sweet soy sauce, peppers, minerals and campfire. Another masterpiece from the recently awarded Icons of Whisky Brand Innovator of the Year 2021.
Producer Profile Ardnamurchan Distillery
The distillery opened in July, 2014 and sits on the shores of Loch Sunart, in what has to be one of the most spectacular locations of any distillery in the country. It produces two signature styles of spirit, one peated and one unpeated. The spirits are matured in American and European oak, ex-sherry casks and American oak ex-Bourbon casks. Ardnamuchan Distillery's parent company, Adelphi Distillery, continues to source the rarest and finest single casks of exceptional malt whisky, under the "Adelphi Selection" brands.

Lovely dram from a great distillery
I was lucky to get the chance to get my hands on this bottle. Its a lovely dram and I'm sure most won't be drunk. Always get the best from 9 Elms when other places can't deliver.
