Dry red wine, 75cl. Medium bodied Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot blend from Bordeaux, France. 13.0% ABV.
Cherry red colour, very fruity on the palate. A very aromatic wine well balanced and robust.
Tasting notes from Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast
"A seriously structured and dense wine, this is also rich in dark plum and damson fruits. It also offers spice and dry tannins. Concentrated and dark, the wine is going to be slow to develop, its tannins needing plenty of time. Drink from 2025."91/100 Points
Tasting notes from the judges of the Sommelier Wine Awards 2019
'Very intense red fruits with a touch of grass and spices on the nose,' said Janusz Sasiadek of Bottles & Battles, adding: 'There's lovely acidity and good length.'
Producer Profile Château de Côme
With vines dating back to 1840, Château de Côme was established by the family of the same name in Saint-Estèphe. The estate was classified as a Cru Bourgeois Supérieur in 1886. In 1997, Château de Côme was acquired by Baron Maurice Velge, who quickly increased the area under vine from two to seven hectares of quality homogeneous terroir. Under the guidance of Baron Velge and winemaker Jose Bueno, previously of Château Mouton Rothschild, the estate has been releasing wine under its elegant new label since 2005.
