Producer Profile Domaine Ramonet
Pierre Ramonet established the estate in 1920, the 17ha estate since 1984 is run by the third generation, Noël (in the cellar) and Jean-Claude Ramonet (in the vineyard). The winery is undoubtedly regarded amongst the top producers of white wines in the Côte de Beaune, from their superb Chassagne-Montrachet Villages and Premiers Crus to masterpiece Grands Crus. Although the estate is best known for its whites, it also produces distinctive and remarkable reds. "Ramonet in white is the equivalent of Henri Jayer or the DRC in red," writes Clive Coates, MW.
