Dry red wine, 75cl. Full bodied 77% Merlot 22% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Malbec - Petit Verdot blend from Napa, USA. 14.5% ABV.
The 2017 growing season yielded a beautifully complex expression of Napa Valley Merlot, with inviting aromas of fresh black raspberry, vanilla, tea leaves, pie crust and liquorice. On the palate, luxurious red-fruit flavours of strawberry, plum, cherry and loganberry are supported by silky tannins and a bright, mouthwatering acidity that carries the wine to a lingering finish, with hints of maple, cedar and sweet spice.
Tasting notes from the judges of the Sommelier Wine Awards 2020
'This is elegant while being massive too, with wet stone combined with really lovely, dense, dark fruit, and a silky mouthfeel, with lots of spice an vanilla, and oak well integrated.' Andres Ituarte, team leader. 'Jammy black fruit, with some wild blueberries too, and a full-bodied palate with black peppercorns and lavender notes.' Juan Mauel Marcos Perez, The Gilbert Scott Restaurant.
