Parés Baltà 'Blanca Cusiné' Cava Gran Reserva Brut Nature 2012, Penedès, Spain
Dry sparkling wine, 75cl. Full bodied 81% Xarel-lo 10% Pinot Noir and 9% Chardonnay blend from Penedès, Spain. 12.0% ABV. Organic Biodynamic Vegan
In the Blanca Cusiné, the traditional variety, Xarel-lo is joined by the two historic grape varieties of sparkling wine, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grown under the influence of the climate and the soil of the high mountains of Penedès. The Pinot Noir was vinified like a Blanc de Noir in order to offer an elegant and refined sparkling wine. The golden yellow colour is a result of the wine's long ageing. In the nose, it shows complex and subtle aroma with delicate notes of almonds, hazelnuts, honey and fresh prickly pear. On the palate, it's round, with notes of preserved, ripe fruit which adds to the notes already shown in the nose.
