Dry red wine, 75cl. Medium bodied 100% Shiraz from Victoria, Australia. 13.7% ABV.
The wine was named after Baptista Governa, an immigrant from northern Italy who established a winery and vineyard in Graytown in 1891. Brick red colour, with aromas of leather, spice with truffles, cigar box, and freshly polished furniture. A medium palate weight with sour cherry flavours. A Heathcote Shiraz at maturity, showing some subtlety and development having a balance of flavours and extraction to enable the wine to be enjoyed with meats and dishes of a lighter style, or with fine cheese.
