Dry red wine, 75cl. Full bodied 50% Grenache, 40% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre blend from Rhône, France. 15% ABV.
This wine comes from directly west-facing parcels located on the plain of Vacqueyras. The Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre vines are 35 years on average and planted on good draining alluvial and sandy soils. Great finesse on the nose, which releases a mixture of red fruit, fig and soft spicy notes. On the palate, the wine showsgreat elegance and a lovely weave of red fruit and very fine tannins.
Producer Profile: Lavau
In the early 1960s Jean-Guy Lavau and his wife Anne-Marie took charge of a small winemaking cellar in Sablet at the heart of the Rhone Valley. This would become the Maison Lavau in 1965. With the next generati on of the family now in charge and 180ha under vine, Lavau have become one of the most respected family owned, indepedent producers in the Southern Rhone.
