Dry red wine, 75cl. Full bodied 50% Grenache, 50% Syrah, blend from Rhône, France. 14.5% ABV.
This classic Cotes du Rhone comes from parcels selected from the finest terroirs of the southern Rhone Valley, extending from Montelimar to Nimes. The delicately oaky nose offers up aromas of sweet spices which subtly mingle with notes of blackberry and blackcurrant. On the palate there is a concentration of aromas underpinned by pronounced, yet smooth, tannins.
Producer Profile: Lavau
In the early 1960s Jean-Guy Lavau and his wife Anne-Marie took charge of a small winemaking cellar in Sablet at the heart of the Rhone Valley. This would become the Maison Lavau in 1965. With the next generati on of the family now in charge and 180ha under vine, Lavau have become one of the most respected family owned, indepedent producers in the Southern Rhone.
