Dry red wine, 75cl. Full bodied 100% Malbex from Pedernal Valley, San Juan, Argentina. 14.3% ABV.
Hailing from the remote high-altitude Pedernal Valley from the province of San Juan, this cool-climate Malbec is full of personality. Powerful and intense with a firm structure and silky frame that offers a generous mix of plums, figs, floral hints of violets, with gamey, spicy undertones and a gritty minerality. A world class example of this relatively unknown terroir.
“Perfumed and very inviting, with a pretty nose of lifted fresh herb, heady eucalyptus, herbaceous fresh grass, pure dark fruit and seductive mineral notes, then on to an elegant palate laced with polishes, sleek oak. World class Malbec!” 97pts Decanter World Wine Awards, Platinum Medal
Producer Profile Bemberg Estate
Bemberg Estate is a brand-new project, created by the Bemberg family, with the intention of producing the finest wines in Argentina. Daniel Pi, the winemaker, has crafted a wine collection that represents an imaginary journey from north to south traversing different regions and using the finest sites. Single vineyards, harvesting by hand, spontaneous fermentation, French oak barrels and very limited production. These really are spectacular wines showing the variety of terroir and conditions available in Argentina.
