Straw yellow with splendid greenish reflections. Nice minerality gradually evolving to hints of freshly cut grass, grapefruit, lavender, white melon, pear and almond with hints of sage. Ample and complex, long lasting finish.
Producer Profile Fontanassa
Marco Gemme farms his 15 hectares using organic viticulture methods. The soil is rocky and poor, with clay and sand rich in iron. Marco’s consulting oenologist is Gaspare Buscemi. Their wine is alive. No chemical product is added (although allowed); dreg removal and stabilization are carried out only with long periods in cold ambient; selected yeasts, that can change the original characteristics of the grapes ,are not used. After the wine is left on its yeasts, only one filtration is carried out at the time of bottling.
